We would like to invite all parents to our annual Open House and Science Fair on Thursday, March 23rd. It will begin at 2:30pm and end at 4:00pm. Stop by to see your child’s hard work and all of our student’s science projects. See you all here!
We would like to invite parents to attend our informative Parent Workshop on Bullying and Positive Behavior. It will be presented by our School Psychologist, Mireya Lopez. The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 16th in the school library from 8:30am – 10:00am. Come and learn the different strategies you as a parent can use at home to ensure your child’s success.
This month our teachers will recognize students in the area of persistence and math thinking and reasoning. Please discuss these concepts with your child so that you are familiar with what is expected of them. A letter will be sent home if your child is recognized.
Victoria Avenue’s Student Council has joined the fight to end malnutrition in children across the world and are proud participants of UNICEF’s Kid Power Program. Our Student Council Leaders are our school’s global citizens and decided to learn what it is to give back to children in need of nourishments. UNICEF Kid Power gives kids the power to get active and save lives. The UNICEF Kid Power Band comes with a free companion app, which lets kids go on Missions to learn about new cultures while they get active. As kids move, they earn points that unlock funding UNICEF uses to deliver lifesaving packets of therapeutic food to severely malnourished children around the world. Built for a new generation of global citizens, UNICEF Kid Power uses the world’s first WEARABLE-FOR-GOOD™ to get kids moving by tapping into their inherent desire to help their peers.
Just a friendly reminder that beginning Monday, March 6th we will be having minimum days and students will be dismissed at 12:34pm. Below is the schedule for the week.
